L/cpl. Crowder, and L/cpl. McBride's tour of duty, both began on December 15, 1967, with this unit,. Both Marines were killed in action, at the Battle for Cam Le Bridge.  L/cpl. MccBride (Mack ) was k.i.a., in the rice paddies on the South side of the bridge. L/cpl. Crowder, was k.i.a., on the north side of the bridge, at the bunker that was near the river.
